Your Vote, Your Voice

BE A VOTER

Local elections matter. Voting isn’t just about choosing who represents us in the White House—it’s about determining who we want to lead our local communities—and every vote counts. Whether you’re mailing in your ballot or heading to the polls to vote in person, plan ahead and vote! A voting plan is exactly that—figuring out how and when you vote. Making a voting plan early will help to avoid running into any challenges later. If we’ve learned anything from the past couple of years—it’s that we need to be prepared and plan ahead!

It is part of the mission of the Women’s Fund of Omaha to support initiatives that improve the lives of metropolitan area women and girls. We work to support the development of women as leaders in our community, and we are intentional about creating a community that builds safe and affirming spaces to empower women of all identities. Efforts to encourage the civic engagement of women in our community is simply an extension of our mission, priorities and values. When women are empowered to have a greater voice in the electoral process, they can mobilize to build a community where every women and girl has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
